Taste of Little Italy
It was an absolutely gorgeous day down on College Street yesterday. Great people watching, great drink, enjoyable entertainment. Too bad the food was meh. Anyone else go? Did you have any better food experience than I did?

Was anyone selling food outside their restaurant?
The last time we went, we ended up eating at Pizza Nova, none of the local places were offering anything›3 Replies-

Quite a number of establishments were selling food, but the selection was rather limited. It was the same as Taste of the Danforth, where restaurants offered up modestly priced sample items from their restaurants. Some vendors don't have establishments on College Street. My guess is that they pay a (hefty) fee for the privilege.

re: Big Kahuna 1
Maybe we will have to try going next year, we were very disappointed the time we went, none of the local restaurants were participating, we were expecting a Taste of the Danforth experience, and ended up thinking it was much more like the midway at the CNE (how many corn on a cob trailers do you need?) lol

We particularly enjoyed L.A.B.'s Italian nachos, rod bowers meatball slider (he is apparently opening "hey meatball" in the space vacated by a convenience store next to the gas station just west of Crawford), and some tender and flaky empanadas with a killer sauce full of chunks of garlic and other delicious bits. We actually thought the food was better this year than in years past.
