Valentino - beutiful for special occasion

We chose Valentino for our last meal of a 6 month round the world holiday and it was spectacular.
We got the 5 course tasting menu with matching wines. eg

Lobster Carpacchio with watercress and blood orange with a sparkling rose!
Duck Prociutto with sour cherry glaze
Venison with gnocchi

It was busy there but there were lots of little rooms and quieter corners which I am sure you could pre book. Service was fantastic - the staff were very knowledgable about the foood and wine. THe bill came to app. $320 US for 2 including tip. Worth every penny. It was fantastic.

This is one of the most underrated places in LV. The price is right and the food is very good. The have the best vanilla ice cream in the world.

And Valentino-Santa Monica is one of the most under-appreciated great restaurants in Los Angeles. (Under-appreciated by citizen-diners. Sherry Virbila gave it three stars last year.) I've been eating at the SM location for a quarter century and plan to hit the Vegas branch again this weekend. Thanks for the reminder about the ice cream.
