Do you have a more detailed description ? There are many ways of binding the filling for croquettes, but most get the 3 step coating; flour/egg/crumbs

I would think not but I do not like those thick BBQ sauces (tomatoey and sweet). I would think that it would mask the flavor of the pork.
Are you making you own pulled pork? If so You could just make a thick roux based sauce from the juice rendered from the butt. mix it with the shredded meat and do the 3 step breading.
