I think I just got ripped off!
I went down to T&T this afternoon to pick up some crab - the were on special for $4.99/lb. My daughter and I picked out three healthy crab....all with legs. The lady asked if I wanted them cleaned and I said yes.....
I just got home and realized that I think I got the "switch" behind the counter. One crab is missing two legs, and another crab is missing one leg. And I'm SURE they were smaller than the ones I picked out. One crab is fully intact and the correct size. I'm just fuming....
What would you do in a situation such as this? Sure, I could call the manager but I have no way of proving anything....

"Sure, I could call the manager but I have no way of proving anything...."
And
"This was no stupid moment - it was obviously an intentional switch"Wait a minute. You really need to cool off before you do anything!

re: lominator
I really don't think my bag got switched up - it wasn't that busy.....we chose the crab ourselves, out of the tank...we took our time to choose the biggest, liveliest ones...but then she took the crab behind the counter to clean it.....that's when the switcheroo happened. IF I go back, I'll definitely clean them myself, or, I'll ask to see the cleaned product before it goes into the bag. Never had to do that before....lesson learned.
And thanks lominator....I feel validated!

re: caseygirl
Possible your bag got accidentally switched for that of another customer? They are often pretty busy back there. Whenever i buy live spot prawns at T&T I open the bag and rummage through them to make sure i don't have any dead ones. If i get a few dead ones i ask them to switch them for live ones.
