Two Gelato Shops are opening soon !! Yonge & Lawrence, almost side by side...

Finally, it appears that we are going to have two gelato stores.

One is called Ventisette (27) and is North of Fairlawn. Says it is also a pasticceria (Italian pastry shop)

The other is just a few doors north of it, called Gelato Caffe.

I pray at least one will make real on-site icecream. And if I can actually get a real Italian pastry like a bomba or custard filled fresh canolo, I will have to start running 5 k a day to work it off :)

I heard rumour also that another gelateria will open on Avenue Road...Yogurty's is still not open at Ave and Fairlawn...pity, I hope they actually do serve good frozen yogurt.

Fingers crossed.

Now if only a fresh food (organic....) place opens up with awesome vegetarian options and healthy dishes, I probably will not move for a few years. (Got to balance the Copper Chimney and pasticcini with some lighter stuff :)

I will post if I see more action at either location. Paper on the windows but no signs yet giving ideas of openings.
I'm up for a gelato baker tour. I have better get nike fit to help me out.
I'd like to try the pizzeria across from newish gelateria on Yonge south of Eglinton. Same owners.
I hope it's yummy...I had better check for reviews..

Drove past Avenue and Fairlawn tonight, and Yogurty's was open. Haven't gone in, but I will also be curious to try it. I haven't been to Menchies, but I love Yoyo's, so hope that Yogurty's is similar.

Tried Yogurty on Sunday night after dinner. Quite busy! 55 cents by weight. Many flavours some interesting ones like passion fruit and red velvet. Can get pricey! Cam add little toppings too.

Wahoo!! VentiSette is OPEN as of today.
I walked by I was in a hurry and saw the paper gone!!
I popped in.
The owner Mario is very personable and professional.
They offered me a taste of tiramisu..mmmm yummy!
