Paco Torreblanca

Headed to Spain in September. Love Pastry Chef Paco Torreblaca's books. Does he have any pastry shops? or Classes in Spain? Currently, going to Barcelona, Granada, Seville, Madrid, but am willing to add another city if necessary to experience his work up close.

  1. He used to have a shop in Madrid at calle Juan Bravo and Lagasca... but looking on the website, it seems to have closed (yikes, ¡qué pena! I didn't realize it was gone). Here's the list of current stores (all far from the places you are visiting):

    Monóvar (Pastelería Totel)

The El Corte Inglés gourmet stores (like the one in Madrid in the basement at the Preciados location) often carry his chocolate panettones.

Here's his site: (click "tiendas" to see a list of the stores and addresses)

Well, of course they are far. Maybe next trip. Thanks for the info, may have to settle for the gourmet store in Madrid

Might consider Oriol Balaguer. He has 2 shops in Barcelona (love the one on Pl. Sant Gregori Taumaturg) and also one in Madrid on Jose Ortega y Gasset 44.
