Looking for some cucina della nonna with a patio

Anywhere in the downtown / midtown / uptown area that is really outstanding?

Grano has more of a courtyard than a patio, but it's nice. Rustic Italian, though I think the nonna in the case is male.

I almost suggested Grano, because their patio/courtyard is really lovely. However, I wouldn't decribe the food as outstanding. At its best, it's quite good and I've gone there a lot, though I live in the neighbourhood and don't think I otherwise would make a special trip. I should note that I've found it to be a bit inconsistent.

Have you tried 7 Numbers on the Danforth (between Broadview and Chester)? The patio is a little small. Diplomatico has a great patio and I agree about the food.

Agree with iMarilyn. Enoteca would be a good spot.

Enoteca gets my vote. Delicious food, and I really like their patio.

So I'm finally going to check out Enoteca this Friday, hopefully on the patio (please sun gods...) - any favourites on the current menu?

Didn't check their current menu, but:

              - Their grilled meats are generally really good.
              - Potatoes as a side are really tasty.
              - Arancini is tasty
              - Cauliflower side is good too.
              - I like their tiramisu and their cappucino.

Most of their pastas are good, but I'd avoid the boar pappardelle. I don't know if it's because I take too much time shooting, but the sheets always come clumped. I also don't love their octopus. I have a lot of photos (with menus) in my Enoteca Post.

Thanks for the suggestions jlunar. Gorgeous pics, as always, on your blog, though the temptation of those Little Nicky's donuts is almost too much to bear.

So bad for me, but Little Nicky's is starting to become my weekend morning ritual...

One of the best patios in town is that at Cafe Diplomatico on College, but the food is not particularly spectacular. Decent, fresh pasta though.
