Father's Day Lunch/Afternoon Tea near Dundas Square?

frostie Jun 16, 2011 11:46 AM

Hey Chowhounders,

So I tried looking for a Father's Day post, but with no luck. It's a bit on the late notice, but I'm just wondering if there are any recommendations for a nice lunch around Dundas Square (more specifcally, the Canon Theatre)? Or perhaps an afternoon tea around 3 or 4pm?

I'm not so concerned about cost, but something that's quiet with a nice atmosphere and good service. I'm also not really looking for anything Father's Day themed, just a nice lunch/afternoon tea sort of thing.

Not afternoon tea but dad friendly for sure is the Queen and Beaver on Elm street just two small blocks north of Dundas.

Have you already tried the Senator? www.thesenator.com Paramount on Yonge Street is rather atmospheric as well. (http://www.paramountfinefoods.com/loc...)

If you are looking for good service and afternoon tea is on the docket, King Edward Hotel on King is about a 10 minute walk from there.

Love Queen and Beaver (which is closer), but King Edward is closer to the quiet, good service, afternoon tea aspect you are looking for
