$20 for $40 Groupon today Sel de la Terre - 6/16 - Boston & Natick
This is for the Back Bay location and Natick. I've never been to Sel de la Terre, so I was thrilled at first. I do remember reading some negative stuff, so I did the usual search.
Oh dear. Lots of negative experiences related here, esp. for the one in the B.B.
Has anyone gone to the Back Bay location recently (hopefully w/some good experiences!), or does it seem as though I missed my chance to try Sel de la Terre when it was really, really good? From the sound of the reviews here, one might think that they are trying to boost clientele at the two locations that aren't doing very well (pullman loaf bread??? REALLY??)
Going to wait on this a bit, til I hear back from my esteemed Chow-colleagues.

re: Science Chick
Now to figure out when I want to go - and what to order. I keep looking at the menus (even though the caveat is that the menu changes - a good thing to me), since I take forever making crucial, important decisions... esp when it involves -hopefully- delicious foods. And considering some of their special events... Anyone have any thoughts of what they do best?

I'm glad to see this deal is back. Just bought one (it will be our third). I would have purchased more but the short time to expiration is a challenge for us. We'll most likely use it for brunch which is very yummy (IMHO) though perhaps not the best value without the Groupon. The caveat to all of this is that we will have to steel ourselves to endure the poor service at the BB location. I have been to the waterfront location in years and never to Natick but the service was truly terrible the last time we went to BB and semi-terrible the time before that. I'm ok with that because it can usually be rectified with a civil discussion or complaint. For us the food + the groupon savings make this deal worth it. YMMV.
