Cafe Constant on a Sunday? Frenchie reservation?

Hello,

I will be in Paris for three days at the end of June. We arrive Sunday morning, after a long flight from California. I have heard good things about Cafe Constant, which is open Sunday, and I have enjoyed other restaurants owned by Christian Constant on past visits. I am concerned about the no reservation policy. Is is terribly busy on Sundays, since so many other places are closed? After the long flight, I don't think I will have the patience for a long wait.

Another thought for Sunday evening is Le Fountaine de Mars, which I have seen is reasonably well regarded by commentators here.

Also, I tried calling Frenchie for a reservation, and they appear to be booked up months in advance. Has anyone had success in getting a last minute reservation if someone cancels? Is there a list to get on, or does one just keep calling?
