Great Dinner at Barrio

middle1 Jun 13, 2011 03:25 PM

Just a quick post to remark upon the fantastic experience I had at Barrio on Saturday evening. I joined a friend there for an early dinner after a class we took and it was the best food/service combination I've had in ages.
We came in time for Happy Hour so we ordered the guacamole, I had a chicken taco and she had the quesadilla off the HH menu. The guac was a huge bowl, delicious and fresh and the taco was tasty as well. You could easily make a meal off of a couple of tacos.
We were both craving beef so we also split an order of Carne Asada off of the dinner menu. They used flank steak which, once it was cut into a bit smaller pieces, was tasty and perfect. It was served with pica de gallo, sauteed onions, rice and fresh corn tortillas.
The table salsa was delicious with just a hint of heat.
To add to the great food, the service was top notch. There was always someone stopping by to see if we needed anything - but not too often to be annoying. The hotess even showed me the way when I got up to ask where the restroom was located.
As I've always been taught to do - I found the manager on the way out and complemented her on the experience. I think they really appreciate the nice comments once in a while!
