restaurant recs along I-90 into MA, south to RI

I started another thread (http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/786180 ) , but our driving plans have changed slightly. Originally, we were going to take I-95 through CT, but would like to avoid the traffic over there. We're taking a family vacation from Cleveland, OH to Kingston, RI next week. Our current plan is to take I-86 and I-88 through NY state, then get onto I-90 into MA before dropping down to Kingston through the Providence, RI area. Given that info, does anyone have recs to add to my list? Looking for something casual, kid-friendly (but don't necessarily need a kids menu, per se), unique to the area. Any menu ok.

Your new route has you on The Pike (I-90) through Sturbridge. You could get off and check out Old Sturbridge Village, which is a period village from the 1800s. For lunch, BT's Smokehouse is right across the street and considered by many to be the best BBQ in New England.
