Anyone know of some good summer specials going on in Phoenix/Scottsdale/Tempe area? I typically see this thread pop up around now but I haven't seen it yet. Thanks!

All Sauce locations have a $20 special...1 pizza, 1 salad and 2 glasses of wine. Good at all locations until September.
Hell of a deal, if you ask me!!

Kai at Sheraton Wildhorse Pass Resort has a summer special -- $59 for these three courses (I think these three are normally $75):

(starter) Macerated Local Vine Ripened Heirloom Tomatoes, Fossil Creek Goat Cheese & Mascarpone Tart

(entree) Grilled Tenderloin of Buffalo from the Cheyenne River Tribe

(dessert) Traditional Fry Bread From the Teachings of the Elders

I don't see this offer on their web site but they just sent it out to their mailing list. No substitutions (too bad, the melon puree is really good right now). We ate at Kai earlier this week for the umpteenth time and I had the buffalo and the fry bread dessert (plus two other courses) and they were both excellent.

Here's a bit more info from the email -- note you have to mention "Hot Nights" when you make the reservation.

"This special menu will be available June 1, 2011- August 1, 2011 every night that Kai is open. As an additional perk, guests are invited to order a corresponding wine-pairing for only $15 per menu. For more information or to book your reservation today, please contact Rosina Dee at 602-385-5726 or Rosina.Dee@Sheraton.com and mention "HOT NIGHTS" when you make your reservation."

You'll also get an amuse-bouche (or two), sherbert palate cleanser, a couple of chocolate truffles as an after dessert treat, and, if you use the free valet service, bottles of water and two chocolates waiting in the car.

I don't know if people will consider this a hot deal, and it might run at times other than summer...but I just noticed that Noca's 3-course Sunday Simple Suppers are discounted by ~20% ($27 vs. $35) after 8pm.

Michele Laudig just reported on a few summer specials on her blog. To summarize, though her blog is most definitely worth visiting:

            J&G Steakhouse has 3 courses for $38 (5-7pm).

Crudo is doing a series of three-course wine dinners for $35.

            Prado has a 3-course $40 summer menu (5 and 6:30 pm).

Atlas Bistro is doing three courses for $40 and no corkage fee today and tomorrow.

Stockyards is doing a three course deal for 24.95 everyday now through October. It's a pretty decent deal and I'll probably take advantage of it a few times over the next 4 months. Menu is on their website...
