Lobster?

Looking for the best deal for an at-home lobster cookout this Saturday (June 18) in Montreal. Suggestions for seafood shops and/or good deals at area grocery stores?
Thanks in advance!

The lobster boil is taking place on the mountain. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated... apparently Chinatown is a winner, but we don't have cars (although I could take the 80 up St. Laurent and walk over). Thanks in advance!

I called a lot of places last week checking prices and I think Marche Hawai would be the best bet for price and "freshness". But, I live in Verdun and the traffic report was not so good on the weekend so we ended up getting them from loblaws on Blv. Newman. I have never bought fish from that store ( I get my fish at marche atwater) but since the lobster is alive I don't mind getting it from grocery stores.

You might want to check out Frutta Si on Schevchenko (about 6 minutes away from Loblaws). their lobster (live out of the tank) is always cheaper than other grocery stores (except when the stores, like IGA, put them on special for $5/lb)

Are the lobsters at marche Hawai local i.e. from Iles de la Madeleine? If not, does anyone know where they are from?

Me think, the closest to get lobster to go "on the mountain" (I assume near beaver lake); witohut having to haul them a long time is PA poissonerie (Parc ave. and St-Joseph).

Just curious, you're going to haul a pot, lobsters, water, utensils, condiments, etc etc to the mountain without a car?

thats exactly what I was thinking lol

            3. LOL I am in charge of the lobsters. A person with a car is bringing the rest!
