Tonight. Vancouver. Italian.
What's a great casual Italian in Vancouver's Italian neighborhood? (and thanks for the Guu rec. Excellent!)

It's not in the 'italian neighbourhood' (such as it is), but La Quercia is wonderful.
In East Vancouver, there's Campanolo Roma, but it's not open Mondays. The Italian restaurants on Commercial Drive (the historical centreof the Italian neighbourhood that extends up East Hastings) are pretty bad. The best is Marcello's but it is hit or miss.
La Piazza Dario makes pretty decent pastas and gnocchi.

Marcello's on Commercial. Good Pizza and I really like the gnocchi. I have heard from Southern Italian friends that Dario's in the cultural centre is really good but I have never eaten there myself.

I'd like to recommend Dario's - the food's pretty good but the service is so poor that it's not worth it.
Commercial is no longer the "real" Italian neighbourhood - it's really along E. Hastings in Burnaby. Try L'Artista - old school food, old school decor, complete with white arches. Props to Marcello's or Lombardo's for pizza.

re: Quattrociocchi
Yes, E. Hastings is still an Italian enclave ..........

Marcello's is good, but IMHO service is spotty.
There's also the new Poor Italian on E. 1st at Rupert (I've not been):
