Good seafood market in Norfolk/Virginia Beach?

Pretty straight forward question, just looking for a good seafood market/fishmonger in South Hampton Roads. As always any advice is appreciated.

  1. Dockdie Inn on Shore drive has nice seafood. There is also a newer place next to Bubbas that I have heard has good seafood. It is between the Dickside Inn and Bubbas off of Shore drive.

Uncle Chuck's Seafood in the farmers market VB, you cant go wrong.

      Chuck's Seafood
1301 Patterson Ave SW, Roanoke, VA 24016

    2. Welton's Seafood, near the Heritage Health Foods on Laskin road is a good one. It used to be located on 40th and Pacific. Good, local seafood.

      1. Stoney's Produce stand on First Colonial Road across from the hospital in VB has the BEST crabmeat I have found locally. Their supplier brings it up from NC on Thursdays and they have it until Monday, as I understand. I only buy jumbo lump, on special occasions, but wow, is it fabulous! I understand the scallops, clams and shrimp are also good but haven't tried them myself (can't get past the crab). You can pick up some fresh produce for your dinner there, and some of their homemade rolls - one stop shopping!

Also try Bluewater Seafood in the shopping center near Centerville and Kempsville Rds. They also cook it for you. Steamed or fried in a light batter and this is mostly what I have gone here for. Best prices I have seen too.

The seafood shop right by Bubba's is run by Bubba's. If you know how to cut them i am also told you can buy the fish whole right off the boat but you have to call for times.
