I was in Venice for 1 week and my advice is to do a lot of research on restaurants. THe first few days we did not and ended up with less than average food which was very operpriced (particulary in San Marco region)
We did find one restaurant that stood out (and ate there two nights) as it was great value, great atmosphere and had traditional Venetian ingredients included in the menu. Al Bagolo -Campo San Giacomo dell'Orio, 1584
