Culinary herb plants for sale in Hoboken?

I'm looking for some plants like basil, tarragon, chives, oregano, not anything particularly exotic, not grow in the window. Anyone know of a place in Hoboken that sells herb plants?

I think I saw some plants in the A&P the other day, right when you walk in by the produce. I get most of my stuff at the 14th street nursery, which if you don;t have a car could be quite the walk.

Thanks! What's the selection like at 14th Street? I might be able to rustle up a ride if they have a lot of variety in one place.

Typical stuff, basil, oregano, chives, tomatoes, different pepper plants. We went out to the flea market at he Meadowlands last year and managed to get a lot of different stuff much cheaper than here in town. I got some African basil which grew like crazy. My wife just reminded me of a new place that opened in town that may have some stuff as well. Not sure of the name but it's right by the Sparrow liquor store on Washington, i think that's the 200 block

Thanks, I'm going to try to get out to 14th Street son. I found a few nice looking plants at Sobsey's today and got basil and tarragon 2/$7.

get seeds and grow your own for less. there is a great book for container gardening "Grow great grub".

Believe me, as a former gardener, I completely agree. I left a great garden with a lot of herbs behind when I moved here, but my current living situation demands that I keep the growing and potting as small scale and simple as possible. I don't even know how I'm going to manage potting soil...
