What is the best place to purchase Asian ingredients online?
On page 37 of "Stir Frying to the Sky's Edge" there is a list of several bottles & jars of ingredients that Ms Young suggests to have on hand. Well, I live about 75 miles from San Antonio & with gas prices as they are, I thought maybe it would be wise to shop online for these ingredients. Trouble is, I find one ingredient here & another one there & by the time I pay for shipping on each of the separate purchases, It does not pencil out that way either. Does anyone know of a place online that "most" of these ingredients can be purchased?

I've been checking back on this thread hoping for an answer as I have friends who also like to cook Asian foods but live far from a reliable source for groceries. A quick google search yielded a few online grocers who appear to specialize by ethnicity/culture:
http://www.asianfoodgrocer.com/ - seems to carry lots of Japanese stuff
http://www.hmart.com/ - mostly Korean
Perhaps if you provide a list of the ingredients you seek, it'll be easier to get help narrowing down your best source(s)?

re: cstout
Since you've just specified Chinese, maybe this will help?
