Sabrett Hotdogs 620 Lowe's

I stumbled upon a great find. There is a hot dog stand (sells many other items as well) up north at the Lowe's on 620 and 183 that sells original Sabrett New York hotdogs and jumbo dogs. I have been looking all over for these. Very reasonably priced. She also sells grilled subs, gyros and because she is Korean, she has great potstickers. (mandoo)

I'm getting in the car right now, and driving up there. All hounds on deck!

I'm pretty sure that eating hot dogs at 7:30 a.m. alone is a strong sign of dogohollism. An intervention might be in order.

Partner and I are heading up there now too. I hope she's open on Sunday morning. Will report back if so.

oooo this is near my house.
      excellent!
i've had the dogs at the 183 and lakeline home depot, and they're pretty good.
but sabretts from a korean lady who also serves potstickers? yes, please!

i just missed her at 6:15.
          she was packing up.

she is located to the entrance furthest from the garden center.
there was a little canopy/tent section, and a board with the menu.
look for the rhino brand propane display/area and you will find her.

She's positioned at the exit from the registers.

I think she only stays open for lunch and dinner. Definitely not early in the morning, though I'd bet she'd make a few good bucks selling coffee and breakfast tacos to all the DIYers running in first thing (like me) for some part that was overlooked.

the home depot guy around the corner (lakeline) has breakfast.
from the menu, he does breakfast tacos, but i haven't tried them.

She used to serve breakfast tacos, but there were not enough contractors. I think Home Depot has more contractors. It seems to be better run than the home depot one. I had a philly at both and the Lowe's location gave me more between the bread. She also has a good jalapeno sausage.

Not to hijack your thread, but I recently discovered that the hot dogs at the Lowe's on Shoal Creek north of Anderson are also pretty good. Not sure where they come from, but they do advertise that they are 100% beef.

Just to update: I went back to the Shoal Creek Lowe's for hot dogs yesterday, and yes, they are Sabrett's. They also serve fajitas and gyros, but I haven't bothered, since the dogs are top-notch.

Man, I used to love the 'dogs at the old Home Depot on 183. It is interesting also, to me at least, that when I did a searce for Chicago Hot Dogs on the net, the only place in Austin that served them was the HD out south. I have tried the Lowe's on SCB several times and will say that they are good, not excellent. But that is just IMO. They also serve other foods as well, mostly of the Mexican variety. FYI and as an inducement to patronize the guys, the fellow at the old HD,mentioned above, told me that he had to pay them around $700 rent per month. I think the fellow at Lowe's on SCB pays even more. And I thought that these guys were allowed to sell there as an inducement for business. Outrageous!, but that is the nature of big box stores which, like a parasite, suck money out of a city and do nothing in return for it. J.

holy crap, that seems awfully high "rent" for a tiny little spot near the doors.
the lakeline HD guy got moved to the contractor entrance.
so, people like me couldn't find him and thought he was gone...
