Baltimore dinner on Monday night

I will be meeting one of my oldest and dearest friends in downtown Baltimore Monday night; I'm looking for a casual place with wonderful food where we can linger and chat. I love the Black Olive, so we could always fall back on that. But please tell me about other reliable places; pretty much any cuisine is fine, as long as there are options for a diner who eats fish but not other meats.

Federal Hill, Fells Point, Mount Vernon, Canton--all fine.

Thanks!

  1. Ikaros in Greektown, one of few open on a Monday! Casua, reliablel and plenty of seafood options

    1. B&O Brasserie is open on Mondays. The food is great and the cocktails are outstanding. And the seafood is top notch. You could share a bunch of small plates:

      1. I think Mezze would fit your bill. It's a tapas restaurant, so you could order a couple dishes at a time for a very slow-paced meal. The menu also has extensive seafood and vegetarian selections-- all of which are delicious. My favorites there include the roasted salmon (it melts in your mouth) and the falafel. The main room upstairs is beautiful and pretty quiet, so intimate conversation there is not a problem. Enjoy your friend's visit!!!
