I was a Latitude 43 skeptic for several years, but have become a fan. I took a party of 14 there Memorial Day weekend. We got a table on the deck with a wonderful harbor view. Food and service good - not spectacular - but good enough. Salads, fish cakes, baked haddock, lobster rolls, sauteed veggies all very proficient and tasty. The lobster roll at about 20 bucks was at least a full lobster's worth. All and all, a very pleasurable weekend lunch experience.

The Deck view is very nice, and like it's predecessor McTeague's (which had an even larger menu, if you can believe it), if you pick well you can eat fine. Good on standard seafood, fried stuff etc. I've had decent sushi there as well, but it probably depends on the chef, and that was last year some time.

We scouted this place out last year as a potential post-wedding meal. Gotta agree with Treb below. However, the setting is nice enough and the room is festive..I think if you stick with something simple, it would be fine for a summer day/evening meal. We didn't sit in the main room since it was packed and opted for the bar side, which was fun because they had the Sox game on and there were entertaining locals/regulars hanging out. We did not try the sushi. We haven't been back since last summer but we would go back for lunch if we were in the area.
(Incidentally, we ended up at the Lobster Pool in Rockport for our wedding meal....It was perfect!)

IMO, non-memorable chow, overrated and over priced even with the coup. Here's their website .

re: treb
treb, say it isn't SOOOOO!! well, i know you and I have agreed on many chow spots, so now I'm glad I 'curbed my enthusiasm' and put off buying a coupon til i heard back from you! How WICKED disappointing re: the scallop dish, and others, and esp the all-you-can-eat sushi (though i have never ever been to an allyoucaneat sushi spot that was any good). Phooey. And on the water w/ a deck!! All seemed too good to be true. sigh. thank you for saving me/us!
