Best north beach Italian food?

We're headed to sf north beach area today. We're looking for great Italian food- not necessarily touristy. Just want that italian restaurant ambiance with excellent flavors. Any recommendations for restaurants/ their specialties and desserts in north beach?

    L'osteria is fantastic! Delicious roasted pork, just like in Rome. The BEST sandwiches I've ever had at lunchtime....and incredibly reasonable. Lovely wines and consistently great service. Lots of atmosphere. I grew up in North Beach, and have been eating here for over 15 years since they opened. Always great!

          L'Osteria del Forno is my favorite. Their pizzas are good to great and make a nice starter to share. Very casual/low key. Tiny - no reservations, so go early or be prepared to wait awhile.
