Buying Kingfisher beer in NYC?

Does anyone know of a liquor store, bodega, etc. where one can buy Kingfisher (Indian) beer?

I'm cooking a huge Indian meal this weekend, and it will be just the thing to drink with the food. Many thanks!

They have both Kingfisher and Kingfisher branded beer glasses at Thrifty American on Court Street in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. BTW don't bother looking in a liquor stores, they don't sell beer in NYS.

Scored big bottles of Kingfisher and Taj Mahal at a little bodega/spice store on 1st Ave. btwn 5th and 6th streets. Thanks for the rec! Now I'm thinking of enjoying some "Indianized" micheladas (chaat masala, lime juice and ground red pepper powder) with the remaining bottles.... :)

I'm pretty sure I've seen this as Euro Mart on 31st Street between 30th and 31st Avenues. Regardless, they should get a shout-out for carrying a staggering breadth of beers from around the world and the U.S.

I just had the same problem. I couldn't easily find it in Jackson Heights (ironic, given the Indian restaurants). But New Beer Distributors in the LES has six-packs for $10.75.

Many thanks! Indian Row is closer to my office, and hounds on the Manhattan boards swear I'll find it in bodegas there, but if that isn't the case, I'll head to Chrystie St.

Pronto at Roosevelt/Broadway and 74th has both 6-packs of 12oz bottles and the larger (22oz?) singles.

They also sell delicious 40s of Hurricane malt liquor for a most reasonable $1.99. Those are 1992 prices, folks. Enjoy some budget malt liquor while you still have the chance.
