Birthday brunch recs please :)
Hello Foodies!
I'm looking for a great brunch place to celebrate my birthday. Specifically, a good mix of sweet and savory offerings in a non-uptight, but warm and inviting environment.
Thanks in advance!!
Cheers,
AG

Many thanks for the great suggestions and birthday wishes. I'm curious about the Coson Building. What exact is it? I checked their website and there is no menu. Is it a "scheduled" restaurant?
Ok, my turn to pay it foward.... For those of you that like Tilikum cafe, there is a coupon on offer through this link for a $100 gift certificate for $50. You have to register to get access and it's only good for the next 16 hrs. Enjoy!

re: Aileron Girl
A-Girl... Corson Building changes up what they're serving all the time. Thursday and Friday dinners, they offer a limited menu based on what's at it's peak just then, and often on a theme. A sample menu is on their website: http://corsonbuilding.files.wordpress...
Their big dinner on Saturday is fixed menu... I've never asked, but they might tell you what they're considering if you give them a call in advance. Brunch is largely the same. I've only been twice, and it was excellent each time, but was a small menu, and a side-board.

I second the Corson Building!
If you want total variety and the whole "Brunch Experience" Portage Bay Cafe is very popular and there is always a long line.
Boat Street Cafe (great French shabby chic atmosphere) as well.-----

re: seabee
These are all great suggestions :) Love Tilikum and just had breakfast at Portage Bay Cafe this morning (delicious)! The toppings bar also looked amazing for the french toast/pancake options!
Anita's Crepes might also be an option...super cute and I'm usually not a fan of savory crepes, but the bacon and cheese is SO good, and their French onion soup was great! Happy birthday!
