Pulled pork croquette at Marben...holy crap that was good
Went to Marben last night for the Sausage League dinner, but also ordered several items off the regular dinner menu. I am compelled to recommend the pulled pork croquette as one of the yummier things I've eaten in the recent past. That's right, a croquette -- pulled pork, breaded and deep fried.
It was really damn good. Super crunchy exterior (but not too thick) and a rich, unctuous interior of just plain ol' pulled pork. Served with a small helping of a tangy potato salad and a few greens. I need to go back and have this again. Soon.
Sorry for the bad photo -- iphone and bad lighting.

Globe Bistro has something similar on the current menu. I have not tried it as I'm eating my way through the appetisers and only try two each time. The pork item is next on my list.
So far I had the elk tartare, seared albacore tune, and the lobster aps. (and a soup) and all are worth ordering. -

It was hard to tell because the restaurant was so dark. If it was a bechamel, they used a minimal amount, because I found the interior creamy, but not overly so. All you could visibly see was pulled pork. It was a very simple dish, but it just happened to combine two things near and dear to my heart: pork and crunchy fried things.
