Making Vanilla Yogurt
I have been experimenting with making yogurt from scratch (milk + culture), but I am also interested in converting plain yogurt into a flavored yogurt that is not sickly sweet like the store-bought kinds, but is still palatable to my kids. Has anyone experimented with turning plain yogurt into vanilla yogurt? I was thinking maybe I should start by making vanilla sugar -- but then mixing sugar into the yogurt will be gritty. Other ideas?
