Lenox, MA - baby-friendly recs?

My wife and I are spending the weekend in Lenox with our 6 month old daughter. Any tips for good baby-friendly places to eat in the general area? We're coming from Boston, open to pretty much any kind of food, but looking for places with reasonably fast service and some noise tolerance. Thanks!

  1. Haven would be perfect for breakfast or lunch. Good, fast, and tolerant! Also a table on the lawn at the Village Inn. Good burgers. For dinner I'm not sure. Someplace with outdoor dining might be best. I'm sure you'll get lots of advice! Have fun.

    1. In Lenox itself Fin (Sushi) or Frankies (red sauce Italian) would be baby friendly.
Possibly also Nudel, although it is kind of small so if crowded might not be easy to find somewhere to put the baby.

Out on Rt. 7 there is Dakota Steakhouse (a local Outback-like chain), very child-friendly but with the flaw of food not being that great.

Nudel? I don't think so; too small by far, and serious foodies there aren't noted for baby-friendliness at dinner..
Dakota is perfect --- except for the food, although the baby won't mind. And it's actually fun in its own way.
What about Koi (Great Barrington) or East (Route 9, not so far from Lenox)? Chinese restaurants welcome families, perhaps because they're already pretty noisy and bustling.

I would have agreed with you about Nudel except more than once we have seen actual babies there (earlier in the evening) and did not seem out of place.

I'd be concerned that both Nudel and Fin are too small to be tolerant of a baby. If you want good to great food in a chef owned and run restaurant, you might try Rouge in very nearby West Stockbridge, right over the hill going past Stockbridge Bowl.
The owners raised their young kids in the restaurant and welcome babies. Try the bar or area to the right, where you can order off the bar, tapas or restaurant menu.

Maybe I'm more tolerant of babies than average? But at Fin too have seen babies there several times without incident.

        3. Mazzeo's, Spice Dragon, Arizona Pizza, Dakota, Fin, Rouge, though the service may be slower MSO and I brought our baby there knowing that the owner's child was present.

L637-- have you tried Spice Dragon yet? Keep meaning to get there and have been waylaid. Any thoughts?

If you are going to Spice Dragon to relive Kim's Dragon it might be a slight let down. I've been three times and enjoyed it quite a bit. They were very kind to my young daughters(they have kids' Bento boxes filled with a well rounded meal) great service and the food was quite good. The spring rolls were great but if you want Mom's then she will need to cook them for you. The shaken beef was also superb. I've seen people complain that it isn't like Kim's, but it ISN'T Kim's it is Spice Dragon. They have selections from Spice's Korean influenced menu as well as the favorites from Kim's Dragon. The sushi bar is open and that is always well done. So personally I have no complaints.

Thanks. Friend just said the exact same thing about the spring rolls. We're going to try it on Wed.

          2. Thank you so much for the recommendations, everyone! We had lunch at Haven Cafe, and dinner at Spice Dragon. Both were great, and very accommodating of two ladies with a baby. The weather wasn't really good for outdoor dining, but we still did pretty well and it got nice out just in time for our friends' wedding at Tanglewood.
