Definitely Black Salt - though you didn't mention a location. In Baltimore, I love Black Olive. (What is it about "Black" and great seafood restaurants? :-)

The that's your place. Don't make the mistake of listening to anyone who tries directing you to Kali's Court -- it's decidedly inferior even though it's a really nice looking place.

Black Olive is good every time.

Black Salt would be my recommendation as well. Very good. But it's a bit of a pain to get to (you need a car or a taxi). More metro accessible is Hank's Oyster Bar in Dupont Circle, which is very good. The oysters are great (duh!), the lobster roll is great and I like a lot of the specials (which they change daily).

It would take more than Metro to get to DC from Baltimore.

Black olive is great. The PrimeRib has great oysters, crab cakes, fish in old school style. Tio Pepe has great seafood and fish in classic spanish cookng. Obrycki is iconic Maryland crab house. charleston is perennially the top restaurant in Baltimore

Obrycki is closed. You would do well to eat at Black Olive

Obrycki's is not closed. They're closing at the end of this season.

          The Prime Rib? For seafood?

Try Hook in Georgetown or Hanks Oyster Bar for something a little more informal. I've never been that impressed with Black Salt at the price point but maybe I need to try it again...

Also, the Prime Rib does seafood really well.

For old school Baltimore area seafood, I recommend Ocean Pride on York Road in Lutherville.
