I think you mean Gale's Snack Bar located at 539 Eastern Avenue.

Would you happen to know their hours of operation?? Are they open week nights?

This place is a throwback to 1970's pricing. If you are on a budget, you know, the food is what it is and you won't go hungry. You can't go wrong for the price in my opinion. You wouldn't take your first date there, but it is worth just dropping bye once for the nostalgia as there aren't many places left like this. Best cheap lunch in the city. And foodyDudey, I'm buying if we are going there.

And I will add that the milkshakes are made with real ice cream (sure it's no-name vanilla, but for $1.75 or whatever, who cares) and the club sandwiches are made with real roast turkey. They roast a whole turkey every day and carve it up. Really, really nice people. Just avoid the gravy, which is a corn starchy, gloopy mess.
