Looking for best reasonable/good prix fixe for group of 12

  • 3

Hi,
We're having a goodbye party for a friend and need to eat early before going on a rocking the river food. The rest of the group is coming in from burbs, and I don't want to eat at a tourist trap. The only prix fixe I know of personally is at Suenos, which I love. I've looked up many in vicinity of theater dist (which is near boat) but while some are reasonable, when you look at the wine list, it's crazy (Remi, for instance).

I was thinking it might be fun to go to a good Korean restaurant, which serves a wide variety of foods in a nice setting. Any ideas for dinner prix fixe. Thanks in advance.

  1. What time are you planning to have dinner? Some restaurants offer pre-theater prix fixes.

On the early side, at 6. I know that restaurants have prix fixe then, but what I want to know is which are the best and most bang for buck. I think there are plenty of tourist trap restaurants in theater dist. so I'd like to avoid.

My suggestion would be to find a restaurant where you would like to eat and call them. See if you can plan a menu with limited choices and create your own "prix fixe". I am guessing that with a group of 12 it would actually make it easier on the waitstaff and you could probably figure out a nicer meal..........

Szechuan Gourmet on 56th street might do this for you!
