Need dinner spot for tonight!
Hello Hounds. I am entertaining a guest who will be at the Javitz center during the day and getting a train at Penn to head back tonight to MD.
I'm looking for a great dinner spot on the West side that has a modern, NY atmosphere and fantastic food and service. Nothing touristy. Its going to be hot so we want to limit our commuting. We like a nice bar too.

some friends and i did the pre-theater menu at maze- gordon ramsay's place in west midtown- amazing food and $35 for app/entree/dessert.. cannot beat it.

If you're willing to commute to the west 50s, you could also try Marea or the Modern Bar Room. Scarpetta on west 14th would also be a good choice.
