Hoboken Farms Sandwich Shop--Summit
This place is on the western edge of Summit, almost in Berkeley Heights on Springfield Ave. across from Kings. I tried the Dom's on Grand, which is basically a pannini with cheddar, pepper jack, tomatoes, roasted onions, and chipotle sauce on a griddled quite nice flat bread. It was a tasty, zesty sandwich, and somewhat inventive for the area, and I'd order it again. The mother company also appears at farmers' markets in the area touting their homemade mozzarella, though I haven't tried that. Other thoughts on the sandwiches?
I've been buying from Hoboken Farms for several years now via their farmers markets. I will say that their mozzarella is really good - some of the best I've ever had, actually. I'm about half-way through the menu at the sandwich shop now (I order a different one each time I go in), and haven't been disappointed with any of them. The one thing that I'm not a fan of, though, are the shop hours. They tried being open until later in the afternoon, but the bulk of their business happens during lunch hours so they are now back to being open 7 days a week from 10:30am until 3:30pm. It's inconvenient for me since I don't work within range for delivery, but I can hit a few of their markets during the week for fresh bread and cheese.
