Best Pizza Place in or around Los Angeles

Birthday is coming up, want to celebrate it with a lot of people around amazing pizza! I live in Azusa, CA which is about 30 mins away from LA. Pasadena, Monrovia, Arcadia etc. I would love to know some places that offers great pizza and maybe has a bar to go along with it. I am searching for a bigger restaurant to hold more people instead of the tiny ones. All opinions welcome! Thank You!!

  1. The lamb sausage pizza at Gjelina is crazy good. If you don't have reservations and don't want to wait, go next door to their new Gjelina Take Away (GTA) and it will be yours in about five minutes...

    1. Well, there's always buca de beppo. They can accommodate large parties, they have a full bar and their thin-crust pizzas aren't too bad.

Try Petrillo's Pizza in Glendora or the original in San Gabriel, both do not have a full bar, but you won't have to go too far to find a full bar.

the one in glendora. is pretty small...are they all around that size, if not than this one is also a good option :)

      2. Pizza 'n Such on Yale in Claremont has a private room you can book and a full bar.

I'm not the biggest fan of Pizza 'n Such, but most people I know love it. Not sure they have a full bar, but good wine and tap beer selection and private room, and again many people I know love it. Not far from Azusa and in a cute part of Claremont. A much better option than Gjelina, which would be an hour drive from Azusa, plus Gjelina would be tough to book especially with a bigger party.

There's not a lot of great pizza in the San Gabriel Valley. Bollini's in Monterey Park is very good, but don't think they have a bar and not sure about a private room. But it's probably the best pizza in the SGV and is big enough to accomodate a bigger party.

Although it's maybe more formal than you want, Il Fornaio in Pasadena has private rooms, a full bar, and decent pizza. But it's more of a more upscale, formal Italian place than a fun pizza place. If you want a fun, casual pizza place, it's probably not your thing.
