Live Lobster
I need at least 10 (prosbly 15) live lobsters for this Sunday. Where would be the best place to buy this quantity? IGA and metro had nice sales a couple of weeks ago, but I am not sure any of the grocery stores will have them on sale next week. where would one normally go for cheap(er) lobster? Does norref sell live lobster? Any idea of the prices? I don't want to get them at Marche atwater since they are alot more expensive.
Thanks!

Norref (a wholesaler that also does detail) on Molson just south of St-Joseph typically has plenty. Anecdotal: they had a 14 lbs monster in stock last Friday when I past by.

I buy at Poissonnerie Gidney's ($9-11/lb); they'd be able to size and sex what you need in advance.
Not sure how long the ones in the supermarket tanks are sitting there, and I can't imagine why Norref *wouldn't* sell live ones.

re: wattacetti
Gibneys has large tanks and their fish is very fresh (i have never had their lobster). They aren't as cheap as supermarkets though.
Marche Hawai, believe it or not, has quite a few large tanks with live lobster. Their regular prices (as with anything from Marche Hawai) rivals the sale prices at IGA or metro (there was a point when they were on sale at metro and it was equal to the regular price at Hawai, made me laugh).
Seeing how Chinese and Cantonese are big on lobster and crab dishes, i would trust them.

re: SourberryLily
I've never bought at Hawaii but since the tanks seem to go up/down in terms of occupants, I'll just presume they've got good turnover.
I did buy lobsters from the Kim Phat in Brossard, but the Champlain bridge on F1 weekend sounds like a recipe to have 15 lobsters suffocate in the car on the way back.
It would though depend on the size of beasts that hala needs as well.
