My wife and I just had lunch today at Cedar Street Grille. Very pleased - good attentive waiter, great grilled cheese sandwich for me and a daily special felafel salad for my wife. House salad to start (included in the entree's price), mine with citrus vin and wife's with a stout maple and hot mustard dressing that really hit the spot. Total with ice teas and no dessert - $28 before tax and tip. We will be back. Nice subdued decor.

Not sure what kind of food you are looking for, but Thai Place in Sturbridge is fresh and tasty. Not super authentic, but solid and reasonably priced. Right on Route 20 next to the Crabtree and Evelyn store.

Steaming Tender off the Mass Pike, exit 8. Follow the signs. It's about a mile off the pike. American fare. Casual. Check their website.

I had a plate of glue-sauced pasta at Steaming Tender. It was seriously disgusting. Perhaps I just ordered the (very) wrong thing.

Cedar St. Grille, in Sturbridge, is ridiculously good. I particularly enjoyed the salad with hearts of palm in it. It's basically right off The Pike/Route 20 (just take a right onto Cedar St.).

They changed hands recently. When did you dine there?

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of the old Cedar St. Restaurant (as opposed to the Grille). The food was pretty good, but it was just so depressing in there. Thank God for the remodel and expansion. Even though it was sad to see Chef Bill go, I can always eat his food at TPK, which I do.

I don' t usually like "glue sauce" on my pasta. A nice marinara or Arrabiata would of been a better choice. I have enjoyed their seafood dishes many times.
