Ligurian Restaurant

Anyone know of a Ligurian in the area? manhattan is fine too. I have someone who wants to do an event there to show off the food of her homeland. Got anything??

    http://www.nizzanyc.com/concept.php I've never been there but I think this is one of the only places that at least advertises themselves as such.

        Not to rain on anyone's parade overlooking the Gulf of Tigullio and what not, but I just scanned Nizza's menu. I'm not exactly an out and out expert, but I've spent about a year in a half total in Liguria if you add up all my visits and that menu is very hard pressed to be passed off as Ligurian beyond a couple of pasta dishes and a couple of appetizers.

        Eh, at least they do pizza with pesto.

        I Tre Merli isn't perfect, but it seems to have a lot more authentic Ligurian dishes across the whole menu.

            my ambassador person pretty much agrees. If we do an event in I tremi, it won't be perfect, but it'll pass. maybe they can make something special for us.
