Bearspaw Market - Open for 2011

Just a heads up that the Bearspaw Market re-opened today. It will be running on Sundays from 10:00 until 2:00; I'm not sure when the season will end. They've changed the parking and now there is a lot just north of the market site (no more parking along the road). There's lots of produce, though not everything was local (I'll just check labels and ask questions until the day I wake up with the power to control the climate!). Of particular note is what I consider to be Calgary's Best Bread- it's made by "My Bread" (possible "My Bread Lady"?) and it's the 12 Grain loaf. She might do other markets- I have no idea. But if you're in the northwest it's worth a visit!

The parking's been there the past few years.

Went yesterday, had a hot dog from that stand that cooks them there. The best hot dog I have ever had. Almost sausage like in texture, great garlic flavour.

We went too and I agree you sure got to check where the stuff is coming from. We like Bowden chicken and love, love, love the sausages across from the Bowden chicken stand.
