traditional Maryland food for potluck

I'm going to a potluck and the theme is traditional Maryland food.

I'm sure there will be lots of crab dishes, so I'm trying to think of something else - maybe a peach cake, or a dessert made with Berger cookies?

Anyone have any other ideas?

You could try your hand at pit beef sandwiches.

My friend recently made a Berger cookie pie for a party she went to. I'm not sure which recipe she followed, but there are lots of recipes online.

don't forget Maryland Chicken... marinated in buttermilk, breaded, browned in a cast iron skillet then covered to complete cooking. add cream as an enrichment to the pan juices and pour over top of chicken. old timey recipe!

I went to a wedding in Baltimore and I can still remember the ham on biscuits.

Ham stuffed with spiced, slow-cooked greens, sliced - completely regional and completely delicious. With some sharp cheese biscuits.....
