I have been craving asian dumplings lately, and I am not partial to any kind. I love them steamed and pan-fried but want to find some really amazing ones and hopefully some great Asian food at the same time. Where are the best dumplings in the area?? ....I don't suppose anywhere around PHX has soup dumplings, do they??

    Lao Ching Hing

    Shanghai Palace

    China Magic Noodle House

(There's also a lady in Chandler that sells them, homemade, from her home, but Mods discourage such posts ...)

Taiwan Food Express has xiao long bao, but they're not very good.

There are no dumplings or XLB that are good in Phoenix/Scottsdale.

China Magic has great dumplings. it's one of the few things on the menu I can recommend; and one of the few chinese dishes I've had anywhere in phoenix that reminded me of food in China. I was actually just telling the wife we need to drive out there from CenPho and order like 3 orders of them for dinner.

Dumplings are average, at best. Star of the menu is the knife-cut noodles. Pass on everything else.

I've lived in Hong Kong and Taiwan and think the dumplings at China Magic Noodle are great. You can taste the Ginger and green onion. Very authentic to me.
