Bistros in upper Marais? Advice appreciated.

Looking for ideas for non-touristy bistros or brasseries with an emphasis on good food. Fun/casual atmosphere would be great.

Did you search Marais and find nothing to your liking?

I love Robert & Louise on rue Vielle du Temple in the Marais...(Get the unique steak!) Also for a little more upscale experience, Le Dome du Marais, Monjul with food as art, and Le Gaigne.

(What is "upper" Marais??)

The area around rue de Bretagne and below République. Robert et Louise is great but can't be described as untouristy.

It's pretty difficult to go to most restaurants in Paris and not find some tourist-y characteristics... The entire Marais quartier is just about devoted to tourists. However, the times I have dined at R & L I have seen a crowd of mostly Parisians in attendance. We usually share a table, and our tablemates are invariably locals...
