Ocean Beach Club, Virginia Beach Restaurants?

  • 2

We will be at the Ocean Beach Club at Virginia Beach for about a week. Can anyone suggest good
restaurants in Virginia Beach. Has anyone dinned at the restaurants at the Ocean Beach Club? We like most ethnic, seafood and veggie. Thanks for any help this is a new location for us.

  1. I live in Virginia Beach but am not familiar with that hotel. The restaurants listed in the dining section of their website are all located at the oceanfront but not on the hotel property. I have eaten at Mahi Mahs several times and is good has a nice outdoor patio with live music most nights. Catch 31 is good but on the pricy side not really worth it in my opinion.
Mojito's cafe at the oceanfront has really good food, not fancy, the best homemade mojitos and tasty bread pudding.

Taste Unlimited is great for getting sandwiches to take to the beach. They get very busy on the weekends , I would suggest calling ahead for a takeout order. http://www.tasteunlimited.com/
Doc Taylor's is a great place for breakfast if you don’t mind the wait. You can’t beat the $2.00 bloody marys. http://doctaylors.com/
Next door to Doc Taylor's is Tautogs, very casual place to get fresh seafood, http://www.tautogs.com/center.cfm
Big Sams is a very casual place for fresh seafood with great happy hours deals. Get there early. http://www.bigsamsrawbar.com/
Tad’s deli is another place to get good sandwiches. http://temp.tadsdelicom.officelive.co...
Gringo’s is very casual great shrimp tacos. The place is very small but turnover is usually very quick, limited menu but what they do have is always good. http://www.gringosvab.com/index.html
Also at the oceanfront for breakfast try Pocahontas Pancakes. The place is always packed but they turn over the tables very quickly. Good for a large group.

For a good steak you can't beat Zoe's. A bit pricey but totally worth it. The bluecrab mac and cheese is amazing.

    Eat bistro - http://www.eatbistro.net/
Pacifica is very good tapas. The service can be slow but the food is really good. Check out restaurants.com for a discount coupon.
If you are into fancy food and smaller portions try Terrapin http://www.terrapinvirginiabeach.com/
All the above are at the Oceanfront and most have plenty of parking which can sometimes be tricky at the beach. The ones that don’t have a lot of parking all easy walking from your hotel.
If you want to venture away from the oceanfront try
Eurasia Cafe & Wine Bar, A few blocks in from the beach very good you will need a reservation to get in this place, Adjacent to a wine store where you can buy wine and bring into the restaurant. http://www.eurasiavb.com/
For really fresh sushi try Mizuno Japanese Restaurant- http://mizuno-sushi.com/ pricey but worth it.
Bluefin sushi in the hilltop shopping Center has a huge assortment of rolls several with fresh bluecrab.
Coastal Grill has been serving consistently great food for the last 20 years. Perhaps my favorite restaurant in all of Hampton Roads
