Where to find Meyer lemons

twlaz Jun 2, 2011 12:17 PM

I found this: http://norecipes.com/blog/2011/05/28/... recipe online and i'm hoping to make it this weekend. Would anyone happen to know anywhere in the KOP area that may sell meyer lemons?

Trader Joe's in the Gateway Center off of 202 often carries them.

they're actually not in season right now. I've become friendly with two organic growers out in CA which I get mine from in 7 to 10lb boxes because... well I can't get enough of them

      Look for them in November
my "friend" Karen Morss! she used to live in the Lansdale area

      and Birch Hill
      the Burchiel family

wow - looks like the Burchiel family has lemons still available. Thanks cgarner - I buy all the meyers I can get my hands on locally. This is a great resource!

I thought they'd be done by now... I got my last batch from Burchiel and they were beautiful! I bought a 7lb box from them and they sent extra. they're literally picked and shipped for you, which Karen does as well. Because they're so fresh, they keep for a very long time when stored in a cool spot.

I' skinned mine and am making meyer lemon limoncello and I froze the juice in ice cube trays and then popped them out into zip lock bags.
