Lunch Stop on the way to Hartford from NYC

Hi: Looking for a good place to stop for lunch on our way to Hartford this Saturday. I don't think we want Pepe's. Anything else is fair game including, great fried clams. Let me know what you got for me! Thanks!

Lenny's in Branford has great seafood (our favorite for fried clams and oysters -- we travel from Litchfield Cnty for them), and is closer for you. They also have a back deck overlooking the marsh where you can watch the ospreys nesting.

For a little local flavor you might try Lenny and Joe's Fish Tale in Westbrook. Family friendly, fresh seafood, completely casual Triple D type place. Plenty of clams. A little past route 91, though.

Try Strada 18 in South Norwalk, right off 95 - exit 14. No clams though...it's Italian. Or Osianna in Fairfield. You can sit outside & the food is good (not open for lunch on Sunday).
