do you guys know of any brands of fig paste that are under hashgacha? Thanks.

        Interesting that it is so difficult to find. I'll check our Persian markets to see if it is available under one of their labels, as an import from Israel, or a small California grower/producer. I'm not sure what you are using it for, but if you are planning on serving it with cheese or as a topping, Bonne Maman Fig Preserves might work as a substitute for you. If all else fails, the Jamie Geller recipe is very easy.

          I heard whole foods makes fig paste but its 20 blocks north of me so I never go there. Would walk up there if I knew it was kosher. Anyone?

            If you are talking about Whole Foods Adriatic Fig Spread, it is generic for Dalmatia fig spread. It is not certified kosher. I don't live in Manhattan, so I cannot tell you if they have other brands in your area that are.
