If you were coming from out of town and you had to choose one purely on food which would it be?

If you want barbecue and a large beer/whiskey selection, go to Fette Sau. Focus on the meat and skip the sides, unless you like overly sweet baked beans. If you're interested in fried chicken, I'd recommend trying Egg instead of Pies n Thighs. I don't mean to sound like one of those people who is always screaming about places "going downhill," but PnT just hasn't been the same since it reopened. Egg serves dinner Thursday through Sunday, and it's very underrated.

Fette Sau for meet hands down winner. Pies and thighs is fried chicken vs. meat. If it's fried chicken you are after I like it best at The Commodore also in Williamsburg. Commodore is a bar with a limited menu but their fried chicken is awesome. I'd shoot for Fette Sau, when you go there u MUST try their beans.

Not been to Pie 'N' Thighs, but Fette Sau is definitely a winner. If the out-of-towner-in-question is coming from a BBQ-deficient area, Fette Sau would impress.
