    Kim's Chow Mein
2048 Marshall Ave, St Paul, MN 55104-5744
    (651) 646-4964

    Lui's Chow Mein
    8000 Minnesota 55, Minneapolis, MN 55427-4712
    (763) 546-6895 ‎

(actually Golden Valley, in the GV shopping mall)

    King's City Restaurant
3959 Linden Street, White Bear Lake, MN 55110-4273
    (651) 426-4565 ‎

These are the ones I have personal experience with. King's City is probably still owned and operated by the Ma's (they lived across the street from me when I was a kid, and learned their trade at the old Nankin downtown - so if you want a Chicken Fried Rice flashback from the days of the Nankin, make the trip!)

Off the top of my head House of Wong in Roseville(love their shrimp toast), Leo's in St. Paul for chow mein, Duc's in Maplewood/Woodbury for won ton soup.

My favorite Cantonese in the Uptown area is First Wok. I didn't gro up here so I can't comment on the authenticity of their chow mein, but I do like their egg rolls and egg foo young.

I'm always tempted to stop in to David Fong's down on Lyndale and 94th just because of their old-school signage but have no clue about the actual food there. Does anyone have any experience with the place?

I used to go to Fong's occasionally. Unashamedly old-school Cantonese-American. The menu still has vestiges of the "2 from column A, 1 from column B" style. The quality is pretty good if you're in the mood for that particular style.

I also vote for kings and house of wings. Kings has awesome chicken wings and won tons. House of wings has the best pork fried rice and chow neon.
