Wow, that sounds amazing!

I rarely see Batampte products around here (most Publixes in the Orlando, FL area), but their deli mustard is one of the best I've ever had.

They have a traditional "half sour" which is as good a deli pickle as I've found. The "Deluxe" has to be some carryover from New York deli tradition because I recall a similarly-named jarred product from about 30 years ago (hard not to eat it straight out of the jar).

OMG. I'd forgotten about "Deluxe"--impossible not to eat straight out of the jar. A little corn rye and some hard salami on the side, maybe.

It's a refrigerated "new" kraut so it has crunch as opposed to the non-refrigerated. Now I have to track down a jar.
