So, CH's! Tell me your fav spot to scarf down those lovely soft shell crabs that are in season!

I have not had them yet this year, but the Glenwood in Hamden is usually very good, I did have whole belly clams the other day that were excellent

Lenny's in Branford-- the double, for sure! This year I made a mistake and ordered them at Scoozi's in downtown New Haven. Yuck.

Had Lenny's last week and I can't recommend them as their batter has changed over time as they are not the crunchy golden brown of old but a much soggier coating and really their prices are no bargain. Better off across the street at the Blue cottage. Further west, the Westbrook Lenny and Joes Fish Tale has been consistently good. Not the Madison one, as they have batter problems on most of thr fried food...occasionally ok but not dependable.
Bills in Westbrook usually does a good job with the crabs.
