Suggestions for SOLO dinning in LA?

Most sushi bars are very solo diner friendly. Mori Sushi is great.

Don't know if you're talking about both lunch and dinner. But when I've had lunch at Providence,
there seem to be a numer of regulars dining alone at tables. BTW...they only serve lunch on Fridays. And I agree with the early comment....I would go anywhere alone that I would go to with friends.

I prefer counters as well, Animal & Son of Gun have great bar (small only seat 5-7) areas that serve the full menu.

I'll eat any place solo that I would with friends, but I find it most comfortable when solo to eat at places with counters. So sushi is often my choice. What part of town are you looking at? I had a nice solo meal at the counter of the Hungry Cat recently.
